Chef Chris Adgate grew up in Florida. He found his passion for cooking at Fort Myers Country Club in 1992. From there, he learned everything he could about the culinary world. He worked mostly in country clubs and resorts in Southwest Florida. In 2006, Chris married his wife Ashley and they began their family. They have two amazing girls, Audrey and Addison.
In 2012, to further his career, Chef Chris received his Certification for Executive Chef from The American Culinary Federation. An extensive certification designed to identify those chefs who have demonstrated a standard level of culinary competence and expertise through education, experience, knowledge, and skills consistent with the executive chef level.
Shortly after receiving his CEC, Chris took a job as Executive Chef in Savannah, Ga. A year and a half later, and a great amount of knowledge and experience, Chris and Ashley decided Savannah was not where they wanted to raise their girls so they headed to Ellijay. The Adgate Family absolutely loves living here in North Georgia Mountains and cannot imagine living anywhere else!
